Dark Grey

Ultra-modern kitchen design with the use of contrasting colours, finished off by the detail in the stone benchtops. This kitchen not only looks amazing, but provided practical solutions for our client.

Glenhaven Gallery

This Glenhaven kitchen was a pleasure to create for our hills district client. Firstly you will notice the room is one huge open plan living, dining and kitchen space. This open plan living area opens out to a wonderfully large entertainment deck. The design process of this new kitchen was considered carefully to interact between the outdoor deck area and the indoor open plan living space.

We wanted to ensure that the family could simply walk from one space to another and not be hindered by the kitchen. We also wanted to incorporate the kitchen to join the two areas together. It became apparent that a galley kitchen was necessary so that the long structure of cabinetry could flow between these two living spaces.

A rich grey colour was necessary to sit on the ash timber floor giving it a pop within the room. The client definitely wanted a marble-finished waterfall island benchtop which we created. The kitchen owner also wanted to have plenty of breakfast bar area for the kids to sit and enjoy family time in the mornings and possibly the evenings.

Harris was commissioned to also incorporate into this new kitchen be large open pantry cupboard. As your notice, we put some especially long drawers within this cupboard to help the owner organise their food supplies more easily. We added some hidden cupboards underneath the island bench as well.

Hidden cupboards within your kitchen can be especially handy when your limited on space but have an option for a large island bench. Large island benches are great for open plan rooms like this. They are also great for the family to sit up and to hide things underneath in these hidden storage areas.

Harris kitchens professional team of kitchen makers loved working on this job. The owner was especially lovely and helped to make the experience a pleasurable one.
